Investment Portfolio Services
Ambassador Financial Group Inc. (AFG) is a
FINRA/SIPC registered broker-dealer
that provides fixed income investment portfolio services through its
capital markets division. The broker-dealer is unique in that it is
structured as a risk-less principal, not underwriting, positioning or
holding any securities in inventory. Rather, AFG’s Capital Markets
Division works with 60 plus broker-dealers from Wall Street and across the
country, providing tremendous access to markets, products, research, and
pricing to its clients. Viewed differently, AFG can serve as an
outsourced trading desk, priding itself on first-class execution.
Clients utilize AFG’s portfolio services in two ways. First, for all of
the institutions we serve, AFG focuses on first-class execution. We stand
toe to toe and compete with much larger national and regional
broker-dealers, and our existing clients can attest to that. The model
allows us to aggressively shop the street for the best products at the
best prices, allowing our clients to capitalize on inefficiencies within
the market. Our network of broker-dealers enables us to expose and
capitalize on those inefficiencies and obtain excellent pricing on both
buy-and sell-side transactions.
Secondly, the smaller institutions we work with utilize our expertise in
formulating investment strategies. For many of these institutions, senior
management teams wear many hats. Consequently, they don’t have the time
and resources necessary to prudently manage the investment portfolio on a
daily basis. AFG’s approach in providing investment portfolio management
services is to intimately get involved with our clients. AFG does this by
providing value-added balance sheet analytics and meeting regularly with
management. This allows AFG to understand each client’s strategic goals,
their asset/liability position, and their financial position. This
regular interaction with management enables AFG to develop a sound and
prudent investment strategy that helps our clients optimize the
risk/reward relationship on the balance sheet.
Once again, the model allows us to execute this mission because we do not
have the inherent conflicts of interest other broker-dealers have. AFG
does not position securities, which enables it to render completely
objective investment advice. It does not have capital tied up in its own
inventory, therefore it does not have the “Bond of the Day” being pushed
by traditional broker-dealers. Client’s needs determine the strategy
rather than a broker-dealers’ inventory.
