Timothy McDonald --- Chairman

Mr. Timothy J. McDonald is Chairman of Ambassador Partners LLC, a financial services holding company and parent of Ambassador Financial Group Inc (AFG) a FINRA licensed fixed income broker-dealer.

Mr. McDonald has over 40 years of executive banking experience as well as attaining numerous roles as Chairman, Board Member, and consultant to the banking industry. Prior to co-founding Ambassador Partners, LLC, Mr. McDonald served as President of Danielson Associates, a boutique investment banking firm located in Rockville, MD from 2000-2004. In this role, Mr. McDonald worked with small to medium sized banks in the Northeast and Mid Atlantic regions consulting on Mergers and Acquisitions feasibility, strategic planning, and profitability enhancements. He has led top-level discussions with Senior Management as well as Boards of Directors on strategic issues to maximize shareholder value and franchise growth.

In 1990, Mr. McDonald was a founding shareholder and the only CEO of Ambassador Bank of the Commonwealth, a commercial bank located in Allentown, PA. As Chief Executive Officer, he developed a unique personal banker/ service approach (“you define - we deliver it”) along with an empowerment management philosophy. Ambassador’s highly appointed offices without tellers provided the backdrop for this strategy. This institution became one of the most successful start-ups ever in the Third Federal Reserve District. From the opening at Thanksgiving 1990 until entering a definitive agreement with Fulton Financial in January 1998 Ambassador grew to approximately $300 million with 8 branches (1 per year). The multiple at the time, 3.69 times book, was the highest ever in Pennsylvania. Ambassador was merged into another Fulton subsidiary, Lafayette Bank in Easton, creating Lafayette Ambassador Bank a $1 billion bank serving the entire Lehigh Valley. Mr. McDonald was named President to manage through the transition period, and in January 2000 became Chairman of the Board of Lafayette Ambassador Bank.

Prior to Mr. McDonald’s tenure at Ambassador bank, he was President/COO of First Valley Bank, a commercial bank with $1.3 billion in assets with 50 branches in the Lehigh Valley and Northeast Pennsylvania. First Valley Corporation was sold to United Jersey Banks, of Princeton, NJ in 1988 in a $250 million deal. He started at First Valley in 1981 as a Senior V.P. of Lending. The bank was in the final stages of a cease and desist order and worked it out of three remaining large foreclosures. First Valley, at the time, was approximately $300 million in size. In two years, with Mr. McDonald’s expertise, the combination of eliminated costs to carry and loan growth significantly improved the corporation’s bottom line. With his leadership, commercial loans grew substantially by 1985 with a cadre of 12-15 professionals up from 3 upon arrival. He also developed the credit department and loan review areas to industry standards.

Mr. McDonald started his banking career at the Girard Bank, in Philadelphia, PA in 1965. He graduated from Lafayette College in 1964 with a B.A. in Economics and the Wharton Graduate Management Program, University of Pennsylvania, in 1968.
